America’s foremost touring repertory theater returns to Santa Barbara to present the California premiere of a new play with original music, based on writings by Pulitzer-Prize winning author Studs Terkel. Like Terkel’s work, the play captures the humanity of its subjects, a variety of Americans who reveal their simple dreams and grand aspirations in highly dramatic, funny, and touching stories. The Acting Company showcases gifted young artists and has fostered the careers of over 250 fine actors, including Kevin Kline, Patti LuPone and Frances Conroy.
