Performed by Philip Glass and the Philip Glass Ensemble

Wednesday, October 16, 2002
8 pm, Arlington Theatre

“Philip Glass’s music produces a powerful emotional intensity which remains for days in the listener’s head.”
—Director Martin Scorsese

Critically acclaimed at the Summer 2001 Lincoln Center Festival, this rousing live concert and film event features Philip Glass and his ensemble playing his scores for six short films. Glass invited filmmakers Atom Egoyan and Peter Greenaway, Iranian artist Shirin Neshat and Israeli artist Michal Rovner to create silent films he would score. The evening also includes two films from his frequent collaborator Godfrey Reggio (Koyaanisqatsi).
