“America’s greatest quartet”
—Time
The profound and remarkable Emerson String Quartet, winner of four Grammy Awards, is one of the world’s hottest chamber ensembles, equally masterful playing classical and contemporary music. The quartet’s performances are characterized by stunning cohesion that gives the four musicians enough room to assert individual styles and even a sense of humor. The program includes Mozart, Adagio and Fugue in C minor, K. 546; Debussy, Quartet in G minor, Op. 10; and Beethoven, Quartet in C sharp minor, Op. 131.
