“Such technical brilliance, stylistic authenticity and tonal sheen...the greatest large jazz ensemble working today”
—Chicago Tribune
Credited with bringing jazz to the forefront of American culture, Pulitzer Prize-winning trumpeter Wynton Marsalis is one of the most accomplished jazz artists of his generation and he conducts the world’s most swinging big band. Comprised of 15 of the jazz world’s finest soloists and ensemble players, the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra (LCJO) features a vast repertory including works by Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Thelonious Monk. Santa Barbara welcomes them back after their joyous sold-out concert in September 2001.
